Odi entered his first dog show in 2021 (read about it here), already two years old at the time. I was reading his pedigree, saw that all his ancestors had some titles, and thought that maybe Odi has some chance in the show ring, too. I had 0 (zero) knowledge about handling and grooming at the time. Both of us started to learn and until today, we stepped into the judging ring exactly 30 times, received 30x Excellent grade, from 30 different judges representing 15 different countries.

We collected 11x CACIBand 6x rCACIB.

He won 7x BOB and 1x BOS.

Championships achieved: Champion of Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, and Bosnia and Hercegovina + Grand Champion in Slovenia and Croatia. And of course, he is an International Beauty Champion, too.

I believe he no longer has to prove anything to anyone.

Here is a combined description of Odi’s qualities, as summarized by ChatGPT when I put in all the evaluations to be analyzed:

Appearance and Structure:

Odi is frequently noted for his typical, masculine appearance, with a well-proportioned head, strong muzzle, and correct bite. Judges have praised his broad skull, expressive eyes, and elegant neck, along with his correct pigmentation. His compact, well-muscled body and excellent bone structure are consistent points of praise. His coat quality is often highlighted as being of excellent texture and color, with proper grooming and presentation.

Movement and Topline:

His movement is generally described as free and fluid, though a few evaluations suggest tightening in the front movement. Odi’s tail carriage and rear movement are commended for being correct, though minor adjustments in stretch and power behind were occasionally mentioned. His muscular rear and well-formed legs add to his strong physical presence.

Temperament and Ring Presence:

Odi’s temperament is generally described as excellent and confident, though one judge noted early on that ring training could improve.

Odi's second show: we definitely both needed more ring training.
Odi's second show: we definitely both needed more ring training.

Odi has a good presence in the ring, exuding confidence and focus. Judges have recognized his good character, with special mention of his strong, confident movement in later shows.

More important than all the evaluations were experience and travels, and all the lovely people I have met, and all the friendships that started during this years attending dog shows. Before coming to Velika Kladuša in BIH in August 2025 I had already decided this would be Odi’s last championship. When I listed all his entries in Excel, it turned out he had stepped into the ring exactly 30 times—it felt like a full circle closing.

Odi is healthy male, clear on all tests and ready to further focus on his water work trainings, continue agility trainings and off course enjoying all the benefits of a shorter coat. The last is a relief for me, too ;)
